What to Expect During SIMPONI ARIA® Infusion Therapy
SIMPONI ARIA® is a biologic treatment given by intravenous infusion, also known as an IV. Your treatment starts with a 30-minute infusion, followed by a second 30-minute infusion 4 weeks later. Then you'll receive your infusions every 8 weeks—that's as few as 6 times a year.
SIMPONI ARIA Side Effects
The most common side effects of SIMPONI ARIA® include:
- upper respiratory infection (runny
nose, sore throat, and hoarseness or
laryngitis) - abnormal liver tests
- decreased blood cells that fight infection
- viral infections, such as flu and cold
sores in the mouth - bronchitis
- high blood pressure
- rash
